Baltika is to introduce new product groups, childrenswear and footwear will be sold soon

27.02.2007

This year, AS Baltika plans to begin selling other product groups in its retail chain in addition to their traditional men’s and women’s clothing.

Already, in April, the first children’s collections will be launched under the Mosaic brand; footwear will be available in Monton retail stores in the autumn.

‘By introducing childrenswear to the Mosaic brand, we can offer our customers – parents pressed for time – one-stop shopping, because at the same time they can browse for clothes for their children and for themselves. Functionality, fashion and a casual look – these are the keyword’s for the Mosaic children’s collection,’ said Ms Brigitta Kippak, Mosaic’s Brand Manager. ‘We can encourage people who normally relate Mosaic to formal office wear by saying that Mosaic childrenswear is characterised by comfy and casual clothes, meant mostly for children aged 2-10, and made of natural materials’, she said.

‘We want Monton clients to find all the necessary fashion goods from our stores; therefore, footwear is a logical response to the clothing, accessories and lingerie that we’re offering at the moment,’ explained Ms Kaie Kaas, Monton’s Brand Manager. ‘Trendy, comfortable and good-quality casual and formal shoes are the keywords of the footwear collection; we are also going to sell boots,’ she added.

In 2006, Monton successfully launched lingerie and beachwear collections.

The Baltika Group is an international fashion Retail Corporation. The Group operates four retail concepts: Monton, Mosaic, Baltman and Ivo Nikkolo and is represented with 113 retail stores in six countries: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine and Russia. In 2006, Baltika’s turnover was 900 million kroons while the profit amounted to 87 million kroons.
