The Baltika Group is a fashion retailer operating five retail concepts: Monton, Mosaic, Baltman, Bastion and Ivo Nikkolo. Group brands are represented in Eastern and Central Europe. Baltika employs a vertically integrated business model which means that the Group controls all stages of the fashion process: design, manufacturing, supply chain management, distribution/logistics and retail sales. Such a model enables Baltika quickly respond to customers´ needs and wishes. From May 2013 Baltika also represents Blue Inc London brand in the Baltics.
Baltika completed the third quarter with a net profit of 151 000 euros, which is 763 000 euros better result, regarding continuing operations, than compared to the same period in the previous year. The third quarter was successful in all of the Baltika`s markets, in retail as well as in other sales channels – all the retail markets of the Baltic region indicated double-digit growth figures. Wholesale, franchise and e-store showed the biggest sales growth.
Baltika’s second-quarter net profit from continuing operations totalled 405 thousand euros, comparative figure in prior year was 641 thousand euros profit. Wholesale and franchise showed the biggest sales growth.
The first quarter of 2014 showed the strongest financial results from the Baltic markets in five years, negative effects from Russian market led to weaker Baltika Group results. To reduce financial risks regarding Eastern European market, Baltika decided to sell the retail business in Ukraine.
