Valdo Kalm: I believe in Baltika’s new plan
“I fully support the changes to the business model of Baltika. In the current situation the only way is to focus on the Baltic markets and reduce operating costs. The company’s new approach, however, does not exclude the possibility that options for the business growth can be reconsidered in the future,” said Valdo Kalm, Member of the Supervisory Council.
Kalm, who was involved in drawing up the company’s new strategy, will leave his position as the Member of the Supervisory Council. “We had an agreement that I’d stay in the Supervisory Council till spring because of my heavy workload and involvement in other activities. I wish Baltika success with implementing changes, this is a pivotal period in the development of the enterprise”, he added.
Meelis Milder, Chairman of the Management Board of AS Baltika, thanks the longstanding member of the council for his contribution to the framing of Baltika’s new action plan. “Valdo with his knowledge and experience targeted the company towards solutions”, he said.
The Supervisory Council of Baltika Group will continue in a team of four members – Jaakko Sakari Mikael Salmelin, Tiina Mõis, Reet Saks and Lauri Kustaa Äimä.
