Meet the Intern
Please introduce yourself briefly – who are you and what were your main responsibilities during your internship at Baltika?
I’m Heliisa Plumberg, a business and entrepreneurship student at Estonian Business School and a big fashion enthusiast. During my internship at Baltika Group with the Ivo Nikkolo team, I mainly worked on marketing and e-commerce tasks. My responsibilities included customer surveys, e-store and newsletter analysis, and content creation. I also took part in influencer collaborations and contributed ideas for new developments.
What surprised you the most at Baltika (or in the fashion industry in general)?
I was surprised by how many campaigns are always running, how quickly trends change, and how the team manages to keep up with the pace. Things never get boring at Baltika.
What project, task or moment stood out to you the most – and why?
The most memorable moment was taking part in a sign-off meeting, where final decisions were made about products – from colors and materials to visual elements. It gave me a chance to see how fashion design and marketing come together and understand how even the smallest choices matter. I also got to analyze customer data, present results, and suggest ideas to better reach our target audience. It felt incredibly inspiring to see my input valued and actually influence next steps. I also have warm memories from Baltika’s end-of-month events where everyone brings themed homemade food – the vibe was always fun and team-spirited.
What was the biggest lesson you’re taking with you from this internship?
The biggest lesson was understanding how crucial it is to know your audience – both through data and intuition. I also learned how important cross-team collaboration is, and that you should always share your ideas, even if you’re “just” an intern.

What would you recommend to future interns joining the team?
Be open, ask questions, and make the most of every task. Even the smallest thing you do will help you understand the bigger picture.
